Dr Roy Abraham Kallivayalil is a Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry and has been working with Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital for more than 10 years. He completed his MBBS from Kerala University in 1976. He then did his MD in Psychiatry from PGIMER, Chandigarh, in 1984. He did his DPM from Madurai Medical College and MAMS from the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and IDFAPA from the American Psychiatric Association. He was the Secretary General of the World Psychiatric Association, Geneva (2014-2020) and President of the Indian Psychiatric Society (2012-2013). He is the President of the National Alliance for Mental Health, India. He was the Principal of Ernakulam Medical College and Professor and Head of Psychiatry at Thrissur and Kottayam Govt Medical Colleges. He was awarded the ‘Best Doctor Award’ by the Government of Kerala in 2007.
