Dr. HariKrishnan joined the Department of Gastroenterology in March 2023, bringing over 15 years of experience in gastrointestinal care. He is a recognized expert in advanced endoscopy, with particular proficiency in third-space endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and cholangioscopy. His practice encompasses minimally invasive endoscopic management of gastrointestinal neoplasms, as well as advanced diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for pancreatobiliary disorders.

  • Dr. HariKrishnan is a recognized expert in advanced endoscopy, particularly third space endoscopy, a cutting-edge minimally invasive technique for treating complex gastrointestinal conditions, along with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), which provides precise imaging and intervention for digestive and pancreatic diseases.
  • His proficiency spans a wide array of endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic control of GI bleeding (e.g., EVL banding), stricture dilatation, polypectomy, early endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, cholangioscopy for direct visualization and targeted intervention within the biliary tree, foreign body removal from the GI tract, and palliative esophageal and colonic metallic stent placement.
  • With over four years of experience in liver transplantation, he also excels in managing cirrhosis of the liver, viral hepatitis, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease

Dr. HariKrishnan completed his MBBS at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, under Kerala University. He earned his MD in Internal Medicine from the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI), Chandigarh, and further specialized with a DM in Medical Gastroenterology from the esteemed All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi.
