Dr. Derrick Johnson serves as a Senior Resident and is actively involved in the clinical management of patients across the department, with particular responsibility for de-addiction services. His clinical interests include substance use disorders, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and comprehensive psychiatric care. He completed his MBBS and MD in Psychiatry from Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Thiruvalla.He has been actively involved in professional and academic organizations and previously served as Treasurer of the Central Travancore Psychiatric Society, Kottayam. In this capacity, he contributed to the organization of academic programmes, continuing medical education (CME) activities, and professional initiatives. He was also involved in organizing the National Conference of Social Psychiatry, along with several CME programmes for mental health professionals.
