Pushpagiri Heart Institute (PHI) is a tertiary care hospital established by Pushpagiri Medical Society and is the largest heart hospital in middle Travancore. The hospital is situated in Tiruvalla, a small town in the southern part of Kerala, which has access to the east to Sabarimala and Idukki, to the west to Kuttanadu and Alapuzha, to the South to Kottarakara and Kollam and to North to Changanacherry and Kottayam. This hospital caters to the cardiac needs of the population of the Districts of Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alapuzha, Idukki and part of Kollam covering approximately 3 million people.
Aims of the Institute - The Institute aims at:
- World class tertiary cardiac care at an affordable cost.
- Developing as a post graduate teaching and learning centre in Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery and allied subjects.
- Developing as a research centre of international repute.
- Developing exchange programs with other Institutions and Universities both in India and abroad, to develop new ideas and to exchange knowledge in Cardiology, Cardiac surgery and allied specialties
