Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences was started in the year 2006 with an annual intake of 50 students. The Department of Health & Family Welfare Government of India, through the Dental Council of India, recognizes this institution. The College is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala.

Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences is housed in the second campus of Pushpagiri Medical Soceity, The Pushpagiri Medicity; which is just 3 kilometers away from Tiruvalla town and is beside the state highway (S.H I) (previously Main Central Road).
The international airports Thiruvananthapuram and Cochin are 128km and 112km away in the south and north directions respectively. The vast paddy fields form the south and west boundaries of the college campus. The southwestern breeze ever passing through the paddy fields and patting the treetops provides a cool climate in this scenic location, which is quite distant from the hustle and bustle of the town
The Pushpagiri Medical Society, a society registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary Scientific & Charitable Societies Registration Act of 1955, manages the College. The archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Tiruvalla (Most. Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Koorilos) is the Patron of the society and a seven member governing board is the policy laying body of the Soceity.Fr. Abraham Mulamoottil is the Secretary of the society & CEO of Pushpagiri Medical Society.
