Pushpagiri CGFNS &IELTS Coaching Centre is a separate wing of Pushpagiri
Institute of Medical Sciences. It was established in 2003, with the original mission to
help the educated professionals to serve, as well as, study in USA, Australia, UK , New Zealand,
Canada, Ireland, etc.
What is CGFNS?
Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) is a non-profitable organization
based in Philadelphia, USA. It conducts a qualifying examination which assesses the chances
of an educated nurse to become licensed in USA. In India, the only three exam centers are
there- they are Delhi,
Bangalore and Cochin, where the exams are conducted in the months of March, July, September and
November, on the dates as planned by the CGFNS.
What is IELTS?
IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language
ability of candidates who need to study or work, where English is used as the language of
communication.
It is jointly managed by the Cambridge ESOL, British Council and IDP Education Australia.
It covers four language skills -listening, reading, writing and speaking. It is recognized
by the universities & employers in many countries including Australia, Canada, New Zealand,
U.K., and USA.
COACHING FOR CGFNS
This course is meant only for the educated nurses. It concentrates on the areas and
subjects that are of the greatest importance from CGFNS point of view. The coaching
class can be completed in a period of one month, if taken as full time course i.e.
from 9.00a.m.-5.00 p.m.
In addition to the coaching classes, we offer complete guidance
in the application procedure for the CGFNS qualifying exam. Free study materials are
provided. Weekly exams are conducted and self confidence boosted, to enable the candidate
to reach peak level.
CRASH COURSE PROGRAMME
This is an additional program offered for our students, prior to the CGFNS qualifying
exam. The course duration is ten days, during which exams are conducted as a model to
the CGFNS exam. Further, discussions and doubt clarification sessions are conducted.

COACHING FOR IELTS
This is a course for all to evaluate their proficiency in English language. We help
the aspirants to bring up their standards to the British Higher Secondary Level. We
conduct the course under high academic level for a period extending to three months.
In the first month, the teacher and the students assemble in a class
room. The teacher conducts lecture method instructions, on all the four modules, to improve
their skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking. They are in the classroom from 10:00
in the morning to 4.00 in the evening, in a full time course, where as, in the part time course,
it is
from 4.00 p.m.-6.00 p.m.
In the next months, the students carry on independent study under
the guidance of the teacher. Doubt clearing, discussions and individual attention enables
the weaker ones to improve the language and when the students claim that they have attained
the level of confidence, we encourage them to sit for the examination. We provide assistance
at all levels to see that our students score the required band.
What is NCLEX-RN ?
The National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses,Commonly abbreviated to NCLEX-RN,
measures the licensure candidate's competence to perform safe and effective entry - level nursing practice.
There are 5 Exam centers in India;Mumbay,Delhi,Hyderabad,Chennai & Bangalore ,where CAT are conducted.
COACHING FOR CGFNS / NCLEX- RN
This course is meant only for the educated nurses.It concentrates on the areas and subjects that are of the
greatest importance from CGFNS/ NCLEX-RN point of view.The coaching class can be completed in a period of one month,
if taken as full time course i.e.from 9.00am to 4.00 pm.The students for NCLEX-RN will be provided an additional
15 days coaching using audio/video CDs,various tests etc.
